This is another Book we made at a recent workshop in Dunedin. These starbooks have been popular for many years. I make them as gifts for people with sayings in, or as signature books for weddings or birthdays, or as here a mini album . This one is of yet agin grandchildren Jacob and Chloe they were showing off there boxing poses and the book is filled with all their different angles they use when playing with their game. The construction of the book involves a samll amount of sewing or bookbinding to hold the pages together then the other sizes of pages are layed up slightly stepping them in as you go for the layered effect. The small page is stamped and preferabaly photos etc added before you put them in the book. It folds flat and tied with a ribbon when opened it can be tied teh other way to look like a star when looking down on it . Great idea for a coffee table creates a lot of discussion .Why not get a group together and I can show you how to make these . The workshop will last around two hours. This a small book I made at a class with some ladies in Dunedin . I go to Dunedin every 3 months for classes so if you would like to join in one of these classes please email me :jacqui@takex2cre8.co.nz
For this project we covered the chipboard with designer paper and sanded the edges to soften them. Them with a dauber we inked the edges. All the pages were folded different ways to either open extending out or to make pockets for tags etc to added later.
I found a selection of photos of my grand daughter Chloe in a cute dress that matched the colours I had used perfectly. This is just one page from the book .

Sweet and innocent
This is my grand daughter Chloe she had a photo shoot with her mum and captured some awesome shots. The hat is so cool and pink is her favourite colour. I made this page for the first sketch I have done for the Corrosive Challenge website where I am on the Design Team , Janet is such a great person and wow I can’t believe she is giving me the opportunity.
